The Ethercluster project is an open-source alternative to Infura for Ethereum Classic and also other ETH-based networks.
The tweet reads:
“New open-source alternative to #Infura for #EthereumClassic and #Eth-based networks. Created by Yaz (@Yazanator) and the @ETCCooperative”
Following the tweet, a detailed medium blog post giving details on ETC’s latest project. In the post, Ethereum Classic said they have been working on the project for a while. They also disclosed that Ethercluster was developed by Yaz Khoury and the ETC Cooperative. It is an open-source cloud architecture based on Ethereum. On twitter, Yaz also posted a series of tweets sharing updates from the project with the entire community.
His post read:
“I’m happy to announce the release of the @ETCCooperative’s latest project: Ethercluster, An Open-Source Alternative to Infura.”
Advantages of the project
Ethercluster grants access to the Ethereum Classic (ETC) network as well as Kotti test network instantaneously. The endpoints of both the networks can be accessed through the Ethercluster website.
In addition, it’s also possible for users to build their own Ethercluster for any chain based on EVM by simply following the documentation provided by ETC. They made use of the most advanced and infra-as-code technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Therefore, users get an architecture which is highly scalable and can meet the increased demand and usage in the most hassle-free manner.
An added advantage is that it also serves as a design guideline for creating scalable chain infrastructure for other networks. Users will also be able to deploy their cloud architecture with Terraform with just one command using Ethercluster. Ethercluster also allow users ease in scaling their EVM nodes so the nodes can run more as required by the decentralized applications or the community. This is enabled by Kubernetes and all it needs is just a single line of command.
