Bitcoin Climbs Above 13,075.6 Level, Up 13%

© Reuters. – Bitcoin rose above the $13,075.6 threshold on Wednesday. Bitcoin was trading at 13,075.6 by 12:24 (16:24 GMT) on the Index, up 12.97% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since April 2.

The move upwards pushed Bitcoin’s market cap up to $228.8B, or 61.66% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Bitcoin’s market cap was $241.2B.

Bitcoin had traded in a range of $11,747.3 to $13,075.6 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Bitcoin has seen a rise in value, as it gained 40.82%. The volume of Bitcoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $33.8B or 31.80% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $9,188.4160 to $13,075.6211 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Bitcoin is still down 34.20% from its all-time high of $19,870.62 set on December 17, 2017.

Elsewhere in cryptocurrency trading

Ethereum was last at $348.22 on the Index, up 10.45% on the day.

XRP was trading at $0.49018 on the Index, a gain of 5.22%.

Ethereum’s market cap was last at $36.9B or 9.94% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP’s market cap totaled $20.8B or 5.61% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
