Facebook’s Libra may be banned in India, and potentially other countries with a hawkish policy toward (BTC) and digital assets, reported the Economic Times India. Based on unnamed sources aware of the matters, Facebook (NASDAQ:) has not performed a consultation with the Reserve Bank of India. Additionally, the Calibra wallet may not be available in countries where Facebook is banned.

The news goes counter to Facebook’s ambition to create a global payment system.
